How to Create a Wi-Fi QR Code

Let guests connect to your network without typing the password — just scan and connect.

What Does a Wi-Fi QR Code Do?

A Wi-Fi QR code encodes your network name (SSID), password, and security type in a standard format. When a smartphone scans it, the device automatically prompts the user to join the network — no typing required. Perfect for cafes, restaurants, hotels, offices, and home guests.

How to Create a Wi-Fi QR Code

  1. 1

Go to the FreeQRStudio Wi-Fi QR Code Generator.

    Open Wi-Fi Generator →
  2. 2

Select "Wi-Fi" as the QR type in the type selector.

  3. 3

Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID).

  4. 4

    Enter the Wi-Fi password.

  5. 5

Select the security type — WPA/WPA2 is most common for modern routers.

  6. 6

If your network is hidden (SSID not broadcast), check "Hidden network".

  7. 7

Customize the design (colors, logo) and download your QR code.
